Air Warfare
Air warfare become more popular in World War 2 with the advancements in technology in fighter jets and aircraft. Fighter Jets were improved from being built from wood having pistol shooters and side release bomb compartments from the first world war. The engines, the wing structures and the speed of the jets were enhanced which enabled the jets go twice as fast and carry more weight and their efficiency in air compared to the previous models. Strategic bombing occurred where factories, rail depots, dockyards, bridges and dams to break their opponents industries and destroy their civilian population, as a result putting an end to their time of the war.
Naval Warfare
WIth the fighter jets, ships and vessels got vastly advanced in their power and ability and one major improvement was the aircraft carrier which were used to hold and recover aircraft when not in use and also act as an mobile airbase. The improvements of warships and submarines had changed since the First World War.
Ground Warfare
Ground or armored warfare is soldiers moving around on foot and vehicles on lands such as tanks through the defensive lines of the enemies and is a major component of all wars and is the oldest form of warfare recorded and as advancements have been made,this form of warfare is not used as often.
Chemical Warfare
Chemical and Biological warfare is a defense attack where chemical and biological agents are used to attack the enemy. Once these biological chemicals are released within the area, they cannot be controlled. Many countries have signed treaties to prevent the use of chemical and biological agents in war. Phosphorous was used in hand grenades and they were thrown and the chemical was released which caused burning upon contact towards skin and also Napalm was used also and burns for longer.
Atomic Warfare
Atomic Warfare is the use of Atomic or Nuclear bombs and the U.S government funded for a bomb to be made as they were informed of Germany’s experiments to create the bombs. Once the bomb is exploded, radioactive energy and chemicals are dispersed into the atmosphere and kills ten of thousands of people in days and also causes diseases from the chemicals dispersed. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were bombed by the U.S after they did not back down from the War in August 1945. The chemicals from the bomb is still present in the air.
